Water-Polo
I came back to School after having the Flu. I still wasn’t feeling so super and I had a water-polo match in two days. Tuesday passed and soon it was game day. We left early after lunch to Cleveland high school. Coach Munkres had our varsity play before our junior varsity.
Our varsity got beat-up by Cleveland and unfortunately lost. During their fourth quarter we warmed up for our game against them. After our varsity was defeated, we jumped over the lane lines and took over the pool. Took a couple of practice shots to warm up our selves and the goalie. Coach called us to the wall and get ready to start. The referee blew his whistle and called up the team captains. From where we were we couldn’t quite understand what was being said, but it looked like the captains weren’t too happy about what was being said to them. They swam back to each other’s side and told us the news.

Sarah Palin Has a Fairwell Adress?

I Have Done My Time!
Sara Palin was the governor of Alaska until she decided to run in the Presidency beside John McCain. Sarah ends up giving farewell address to the people of Alaska implying that she has been a great help to the people of Alaska and now is the time she should leave and run in the presidential election. Her Speech mentions how she turned around Alaska economically.
Sarah Palin implied that she, “promised (to) protect this beautiful environment while safely and ethically developing resources”, as the former governor of Alaska (Palin Paragraph 3). Sarah Palin tries to persuade the audience that she has done a great job as governor and now it’s time for her to go. She also, "promised energy solutions and we (as the people of Alaska) have, we have a plan", Sarah persuades (Palin Paragraph 6). Sarah Palin uses plenty of persuasion to convince the people that her actions in Alaska give her the greater reason to run in the presidential election. Although Sarah talks about how well she has ran Alaska as Governor, but she doesn't even mention or talk about why she wants to run in the election; which is the main reason for her farewell address. Sarah Palin also likes to lead off topic allot in her speech to try and direct the audience to something that has nothing to deal with her leaving Alaska. For example; Sarah Palin mentions that' "in the summertime such extreme summertime about a hundred and fifty degrees hotter than just months ago", doesn't even correlate with anything about her leaving Alaska yet alone does it make sense (Palin Paragraph 2)!
Ultimately Sarah Palin does have a strong ethos use in her speech. Do to the fact that she has that nice sweet tone of everything is going to be alright, makes her seem more appealing to the common man. But her done fall is that she tends to lead of topic. The other down fall of Sarah Palins Farewell Address Speech is that she says things that don’t quite make sense. For example she talks about how the Cheechakos don’t split from the Sourdoughs in the winter time. I mean... what the heck is she talking about? Even though Sarah may seem questionable in some cases about what she is trying to say, she does use effective language and includes the audience into her speech.
